Today, in Slovenia there is a resistance to the the establishment of new protected areas. The vast majority of this is due to fears of stakeholders and poor planning of the initiators. In the Kamnikško-Savinjske Alps territory, for quite some time they are establishing a regional park that is supposed to extend to the area of the municipality of Jezersko. It is a small municipality in the heart of the mountains with a large number of natural riches and the small number of inhabitants. The area is already included in the protected nature areas (Natura 2000 ...) and from the nature conservation point of view, already well protected.. A review of the relevant literature, interviewing residents and a review of the conservation of forest habitats, we found that the conditions for the establishment of a protected area in the municipality of Jezersko are favourable.
