Abstract
Izolator je pomembna naprava, ki se uporablja v medicini, farmaciji, nuklearni procesni industriji ter podobnih. Kovinski izolator zaradi svojih lastnosti ni primeren za vsako aplikacijo. V tem primeru lahko nalogo bolje opravi fleksibilni izolator, oziroma izolator, izdelan iz TPU folije. Ker se v izolatorjih upravlja z nevarnimi snovmi, je zelo pomembno, da so spoji na izolatorju kakovostno izdelani. V magistrskem delu je predstavljenih nekaj primernih tehnologij spajanja. Prikazano je preizkuševališče, ki je bilo namensko izdelano za preverjanje tesnosti oziroma trdnosti spojev. Na preizkuševališču so bili narejeni preizkusi na spojih, ki so bili izdelani s tremi različnimi tehnologijami, in sicer z ultrazvočnim varilnikom, uporovnim varilnikom in varilnikom z ogrevanim orodjem. S preizkusom je bilo prikazano, kakšen tlak prenese spoj, najpogostejšo lokacijo ter vrsto porušitve in velikost preizkušenca pred porušitvijo. Ugotovili smo, da s spajanjem materiala dosežemo za približno četrtino manjši tlak, v primerjavi z osnovnim materialom, hkrati pa smo spoznali, da toplotna varilnika lahko ustvarita več kritičnih mest v primerjavi z ultrazvočnim varilnikom. Glede na pridobljene rezultate in izkušnje z upravljanjem z napravami je s pomočjo uteženih kriterijev določen najprimernejši varilni proces za izdelavo izolatorjev.

Title:Comparison of joints properties on TPU foil produced by ultrasonic and thermal welding
Abstract:
An isolator is an important device used in medicine, pharmacy, the nuclear process industry and similar. Metal isolator is not suitable for every application. In this case, the task may be better performed by a flexible isolator or an isolator made of TPU foil. Because hazardous substances are used in isolators, it is very important that the joints on the isolator are of good quality. The master's thesis presents some suitable joining technologies. A test rig designed specifically for checking the tightness or strength of joints is shown. At the test rig tests were performed on joints made with three different technologies, using an ultrasonic welding machine, a resistance welding machine and a heated tool welding machine. The pressure tests verified the joint loading capacity, the most common location, the type of burst and the size of the burst before bursting. It was discovered that by joining material, we achieve about a quarter less pressure compared to base material. Heated tool and resistance welder create more critical points than ultrasonic welder. Based on the obtained results and experience with operating the device, we have determined, by weighted criteria, the most suitable welding process for the manufacture of insulators.
