The master’s thesis deals with a design of a conical sieve mill for processing raw material in pharmaceutical industry. The device transforms inhomogeneous raw material in to a homogeneous form and can lower particle size at the same time. The concept of a conical sieve was developed. The development included evaluation of different technologies and concepts, review of competitive devices, testing of competitive devices, calculation of different components, especially bevel gearbox and examination of general standards and recommendations for designing of devices for food industry.
