The purpose of this diploma thesis is to design and produce a control device that is used to control the dimensions of a rigidly clamped injected molded ring as a part of a car headlight. The preparation was designed according to the requirements of the client, as well as the feasibility of manufacture, financial viability and functionality of the control device. The required aluminum parts of the device were made on a vertical CNC machine, the rest of the parts were ordered from suppliers afterwards. With all the components collected we put together the designed control device, which we leveled the supports before using.
With the prepared control device the results of controlling rings were compared on the coordinate measuring machine with the help of statistical process control - SPC, in which stability, ability and occurrence of process irregularities were determined. Comparison of controls results showed functionality and usefulness of the control device.
