In the academic year 2009/2010 the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana launched a new curriculum in physiotherapy. The study programme is prepared along in line of the Bologna process. It aims include continuous learning, integration of subjects, unification of the teaching process, introduction of electives, active role of students and implementation of more contemporary teaching methods. The process of implementation, main characteristic of the curriculum and first experience are described. The first results show that changes were successful. Nevertheless, the authors point out that the curriculum reform is a long-term process.
