Abstract
Uvod: Naprave za ohlajanje sklepov omogočajo ohlajevanje in kompresijo hkrati, zaradi česar se izboljša učinkovitost ohlajevanja. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti učinke uporabe naprave za hlajenje kolena na anteriorno laksnost kolenskega sklepa. Metode: V raziskavo je bilo vključenih deset mladih, zdravih preiskovancev. Protokol je vseboval tri 30-minutne poskuse: ohlajanje s kompresijo, kompresijo in občutek ohlajanja. Zaporedje poskusov je bilo naključno, z vmesnimi 24-urnimi odmori. Merili smo timpanično temperaturo (Tt), povprečno temperaturo kože (Tk), temperaturo kože obravnavanega predela (To) in anteriorno laksnost kolenskega sklepa pred vsakim poskusom in po njem z rolimetrom. Rezultati: Tt je ostala enaka. Tk se je statistično pomembno povišala med ohlajanjem s hladilnim gelom. Kljub pomembnim spremembam To med prvim in drugim poskusom ni bilo pomembnih razlik v anteriorni laksnosti kolenskega sklepa med poskusi. Zaključki: Uporaba naprave za hlajenje sklepov pri temperaturah od 5 o C do 24 o C za obdobje 30 minut nima pomembnega učinka na anteriorno laksnost kolenskega sklepa.

Title:Knee cooling and compression effects on knee anterior laxity
Abstract:
Background: Joint cooling devices allow cooling and compression at the same time and thereby increase the efficiency of cooling. Purpose of this research was to identify the effects of knee cooling device on knee anterior laxity. Methods: Ten healthy male young subjects were included in the experiment. Protocol consisted of three 30- minute conditions: cold and compression, compression and sensation of cold. The sequences were random with 24- hour intervals apart. We measured tympanic temperature (Tt), average skin (Ts), and knee skin (Tk) temperature. Knee anterior laxity was measured before and after each condition with the Rolimeter. Results: Tt remained stable, while Ts significantly increased during sensation of cold. Despite the significant temperature change of Tk during first and second conditions, there was no significant difference in knee anterior laxity within and between conditions. Conclusions: 30-minute knee cooling device application with temperature range from 5 o C to 24 o C has no significant effects on knee anterior laxity.
