Abstract
Strukturno je diplomska naloga organizirana v pet poglavij. V prvem je kratek uvod, v katerem je obravnavana problematika izbrane teme diplomske naloge in so nakazane smernice prihodnjega razvoja. Vključuje še namene in cilje izbrane tematike ter strukturo diplomske naloge. V drugem poglavju Splošno o ITS sistemih in storitvah so najprej definirani ITS (inteligentni transportni sistemi), nato so opisani razlogi za uvajanje ITS, organizacije, odgovorne za implementacijo ITS, in zgodovina ITS. Na kratko sta razloženi ITS arhitektura in KAREN klasifikacija, omenjeni pa so tudi kooperativni ITS sistemi. Poglavje vključuje tudi pregled stanja v svetu, EU in Sloveniji. Tretje poglavje nosi naslov Sistemi inteligentnih vozil in vsebuje delitev sistemov inteligentnih vozil na aktivne in pasivne sisteme varnosti ter kratek opis le-teh. V četrtem poglavju ITS v osebnih vozilih so obravnavani inteligentni sistemi v vozilu, in sicer so predstavljeni v obliki poddomen osme domene KAREN klasifikacije. Te poddomene so: povečanje vidljivosti, avtonomna vožnja, izogibanje vzdolžnih trkov, izogibanje prečnih trkov, varnostna prisebnost in ublažitev posledic pred trki. V zadnjem, petem poglavju je napisan Zaključek obravnavane teme, sledijo pa še Seznam literature in viri, Viri slik in Izjava.

Title:INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS FOR SAFETY IN PERSONAL CARS
Abstract:
Structurally, the thesis is organized into five chapters. The first is a brief introduction that discusses the topic of the selected thesis topic and outlines directions for future development. It also includes the purposes and objectives of the chosen topic and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two, General About ITS Systems and Services, first defines ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), then describes the reasons for deploying ITS, the organizations responsible for implementing ITS, and the history of ITS. ITS architecture and the KAREN classification are briefly explained, and cooperative ITS systems are also mentioned. The chapter also includes an overview of the situation in the world, the EU and Slovenia. The third chapter is entitled Intelligent Vehicle Systems and contains the division of intelligent vehicle systems into active and passive safety systems and a brief description of them. Chapter 4 of ITS in passenger cars deals with intelligent in-vehicle systems, which are presented in the form of subdomains of the eighth KAREN classification domain. These subdomains are: Vision Enhancement, Automated Vehicle Operation, Longitudinal Collision Avoidance, Lateral Collision Avoidance, Safety Readiness, Pre-crash Restraint Deployment . The final, fifth chapter deals with the Conclusion of the topic under discussion, followed by the References and Resources, Image Sources, and Statement.
