The diploma thesis Photorealism and 3D computer graphics represents the theoretical basis and the practical implementation of computer-aided 3D imaging in the field of industrial design with an emphasis on the achievement of photorealistic final renders or visualizations. The purpose of the thesis is to create and to depict a 3D model of wristwatch for promotion, to present the process of creating 3D photorealistic computer visualization and to educate young creators about the importance and future of 3D computer graphics and photorealism. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, it focuses primarily on the importance and advantages of photorealism and 3D computer graphics today. The steps of entire workflow are presented, including the pre-preparation in the initial phase, and each step of the workflow is also described in more detail. In the practical part, the process of creating a 3D model of a product and rendering photorealistic visualization is summarized. The manufacturing process summarizes everything from the initial to the final stage and shows the basic stages to achieve the desired final product. The software tools used in the technical implementation are also presented. The diploma thesis concludes with a presentation of product visualizations, analysis of results and discussion. A critical evaluation of the final visualizations is given, the possibilities for improvement and the final thought of the diploma thesis are presented.
