Abstract
V diplomskem delu sta predstavljeni svetopisemska in apokrifna zgodba o Adamu in Evi. Sveto pismo pozna dve različni pripovedi o stvarjenju in življenju prvega človeka. Poznamo jahvistično in duhovniško izročilo.

Title:Comparison between the biblical story of Adam and Eve in Genesis and the apocrypha the Life of Adam and Eve
Abstract:
In the diploma thesis the biblical and apocryphal story of Adam and Eve are presented. The first part deals with the Bible story at the beginning of Genesis. The Bible knows two different narratives of the creation and the life of the first man. We know the Jahvist and the priestly traditions; the Jahvist is more attentive to the man, as it deals with certain theological topics which cannot be found in the priestly tradition, for example: life in the Garden of Eden, sin and fratricide, and it is the Jahvist tradition where the woman is called Eve. The second part of the thesis presents an apocryphal story that describes the life of Adam and Eve after sin and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. The whole apocrypha The Life of Adam and Eve is translated into Slovene from the English translation, and the theological emphasis of the apocrypha is also presented. The major themes found in the apocrypha are human distress, repentance, and revelation. At the end of the thesis, a comparison of the two stories, the biblical and the apocryphal, is written. Although the apocrypha complements the Bible story of the first couple, as it begins where the Bible concludes the story of Adam and Eve, the main differences are that the apocrypha emphasizes the guilt of the wife for sin, it mentions the coming of Christ, and it explains why the devil seduced Adam and Eve into sin.
