Abstract
Cilji dela so doseženi z različnimi raziskovalnimi metodami. Uporabljena je zgodovinska metoda, s katero je predstavljen razvoj pokojninskega sistema v Republiki Sloveniji. Temu sledi deskriptivna metoda, s pomočjo katere je opisana problematika pokojninskega sistema v Republiki Sloveniji. Različni viri in spoznanja dosedanjih avtorjev so predstavljeni z metodo kompilacije.

Title:ANALYSIS OF VOLUNTARY SUPPLEMENTARY PENSION INSURANCE IN SLOVENIA
Abstract:
This master thesis presents in more detail voluntary supplementary pension insurance in the Republic of Slovenia. The mindset of the younger population will slowly need to be directed towards making voluntary pension contributions, as the public pension system is increasingly unsustainable. This is a main reason for writing master thesis, as the system of voluntary supplementary pension insurance needs to be presented in greater detail to the general public. The aims of the work are achieved through various research methods. The historical method is used to present the development of the pension system in the Republic of Slovenia. This is followed by a descriptive method that describes the problem of the pension system in the Republic of Slovenia. Various sources and insights of the present authors are presented using the compilation method. The empirical part, however, is dominated by the comparative method that underlies the international comparison of the field in question. Through the master thesis, it is established that the state enables public employees to join the collective supplementary pension insurance. Collective and individual voluntary supplementary pension insurance is also provided, which states that the state provides for tax relief to encourage voluntary payments. The master thesis presents informative calculations of the yield of monthly payments for voluntary supplementary pension insurance, and it can be concluded that payments for additional pension insurance in the future represent one of the key solutions for decent retirement income. The master thesis concludes with proposals for solutions to increase investment in voluntary supplementary pension insurance, with a strong tendency and responsibility on the part of the state. One solution is to place greater emphasis on a public campaign to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary supplementary pension insurance and perhaps even statutory education on the importance of voluntary supplementary pension insurance before signing an employment contract.
