Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, ali so pri iskanju redne zaposlitve mladih pomembnejše izkušnje ali izobrazba. V prvem, teoretičnem delu s pomočjo sekundarnih virov raziskujem področje dela, mladih, izobrazbe, izkušenj, študentskega dela in prehod iz šole na trg dela. V drugem, empiričnem delu pa izvedem kvalitativno raziskavo. Intervjuvam dve skupini, in sicer mlade, ki so pred kratkim vstopili na trg dela, ter delodajalce oz. kadrovnike v podjetjih. Predvsem me zanima, kaj je mladim po njihovem mnenju pomagalo pri zaposlitvi in kakšno mnenje imajo o tem podjetja. Ugotovila sem, da je problem pri specifičnih izkušnjah, saj jih mladi s študentskim delom težko pridobijo zaradi hkratnega izobraževanja. Mladi menijo, da so, splošno gledano, izkušnje pomembnejše od izobrazbe, pomembna je le stopnja izobrazbe. Zanimivo pa je, da je nekaterim pri zaposlitvi pomagala prav izobrazba, saj niso imeli izkušenj na tem področju. Pri delodajalcih je vse odvisno od delovnega mesta, a kljub temu pri njih prevlada izobrazba.

Title:Importance of education and experience (from student work) on full-time employment
Abstract:
This graduation thesis examines the importance of experience (gained from student work) or education in finding a full-time employment for young people. The theoretical part of the thesis, explores the fields of work, youth, education, experience, student work and the transition from the educational to the labour market with the help of secondary sources. The second, empirical part, is based on a qualitative research, interview of two groups of young people, who have recently entered the labour market and with employers (decision makers) in companies. My interest is particularly expressed in what the young people think about employment, what helped them in their employment and what is position of employers. Conducted research shows that the problem is with specific experiences, as it is difficult for young people with student work to gain them through education. Finally, conclusion of the thesis is that in general young people believe that experience is more important than education, they only emphasise the level of education. The results also indicate that in some cases young people found their education to be useful in getting wanted employment, despite having no experience in the field of employment. Furthermore, most of the employers, believe education is predominant.
