Abstract

Abstract:
Phraseological units are set of words which are used daily to conduct emotion through conversation. Phraseological units are often used as tools by authors to display emotion through the written word. One such author is Kristina Dunker, an established German writer of literature for children and minors. Through her career she has been presented with several awards and nominations for her works in literature. In her novel Schwindel I am analysing the usage of phraseological units and their characteristics with the help of classification by Harald Burger.
