Abstract
Magistrsko delo predstavlja ilustriranje in oblikovanje t. i. logopedske slikanice, primerne za logopedsko obravnavo otrok v predbralnem obdobju, katere pobudnici sta logopedinji Anja Bolarič in Sabrina Cirman. Teoretični del je razdeljen na dva dela. V prvem delu so predstavljeni oblike in zgradba slikanic, kriteriji za doseganje kakovosti le-teh ter vloga, ki jo imajo za otroke v predbralnem obdobju. Ilustracije v slikanicah vizualno pripovedujejo zgodbo, zato je v prvem delu tudi opis likovnega jezika, ki ga sestavljajo temeljne likovne prvine, likovne spremenljivke in prostorski ključi. V drugem delu je poudarek na logopediji ter pomenu in vlogi logopeda. Poudarjena je vloga raziskovanja učinkov skupnega branja staršev z otrokom ter kakšne knjige so za otroke v predbralnem obdobju primerne. V praktičnem delu pojasnimo, kako je potekalo delo z logopedinjama. ter opišemo postopek zasnove in ustvarjanja praktičnega izdelka, tj. logopedske slikanice Živjo, opici! Predstavljen je ustvarjalni postopek v celoti: od zgodborisa, oblikovanja glavnih likov in prostora do oblikovanja slikanice z izbiro formata, likovne tehnike, tipografije in naslovnice. Cilj je izdelati slikanico, ki ustreza potrebam logopedske obravnave.

Title:Picturebook as a utility in speech therapy
Abstract:
The master's thesis describes the process of illustrating and designing a picture book to be used in speech therapy for children in the pre-reading period. The project was initiated by speech therapists Anja Bolarič and Sabrina Cirman. The theoretical part is divided into two parts. The first part presents different forms and structure of picture books, the criteria for achieving good quality of picture books, and the role they play for children in the pre-reading period. The illustrations in the picture books tell the story visually, so the first part also contains a description of the visual language, consisting of basic visual elements, visual variables and visual gradients. The second part focuses on speech therapy itself and the importance and role of speech therapists. Further, we emphasize the importance of research into the effects of parent-child shared reading and suggest the kind of books that are appropriate for children during the pre-reading period. In the practical part we describe our work with speech therapists as well as the process of designing and creating a practical product, a speech-therapy picture book titled Hi, monkeys! The creative process is presented in its entirety: from the storyboard, through the conception of the main characters placed in their environment, to the actual design of the picture book with the choice of format, visual techniques, typography and cover. The goal is to design and ilustrate picturebook that will meet the standars of speech therapy.
