Abstract
Vinska etiketa ima velik vpliv na izbor med različnimi ponudniki vin. Ljudje se poslužujemo izbire steklenice na različne načine. Nekateri smo privrženci določenega vinorodnega okoliša, spet drugi bodo izbirali samo glede na sorto. Tretje bo zanimala cena, medtem ko bo nekatere mogoče navdušiti z etiketo in bo to končna odločitev za nakup. Privlači nas drugačnost, zato je izbor vina zelo specifičen. Za prenovo vinske etikete smo izbrali linijo Villa Brici. Etiketa je skozi leta prodaje pridobivala na sodobnem videzu in se držala predvsem takratnih trendov oblikovanja vinskih etiket. Samo enkrat je v prodajo prišla drugačna, bolj avantgardna etiketa. Simbolno je linijo ob ustanovitvi navdihnil francoski dvorec. Danes pa lahko na steklenici opazimo motiv mozaičnega kroga. Popravljena verzija etike diplomskega dela je črpala navdih iz fotografije vinske trte. Po definiciji zlatega reza smo zgradili novo in hkrati preoblikovali obstoječo etiketo. S pomočjo igre oblik in podrobne analize elementov smo ustvarili drugačno in moderno, a hkrati etiketo z zgodbo. Gola geometrijska podoba mozaika se je preobrazila v elegantno prepletajočo se podobo dodobra obrojene trte. Navdih za preobrazbo je črpan iz avtorske fotografije detajla očesa vinske trte. Hierarhija podatkov je pomensko prikazana po željah marketinga Kleti Brda, vendar oblikovana po mojih vizijah drugačnosti in razbitju enoličnosti nizkocenovnih etiket.

Title:Artistic analysis and redesign of wine labels Villa Brici
Abstract:
Wine labels can play a major role when deciding which wine brand to choose from. We each have our own preferences. Some pick by the wine region, others have their favorite sort, some choose depending on the price, while others might make the final decision upon the wine label. We’re all lulled by difference, and choosing wine is no different, and therefore a topic of itself. For this research, I’ve chosen the line of Villa Brici, and their design. I’ve noticed that throughout the years, the label has adapted its more modern look, following mainly the contemporary trends of wine labels. On one occasion, the label departed from its traditional look into an avant-garde style. Symbolically it was inspired by a French chateau. While a mosaic circle is the most prominent element on today’s label. The upscaled version of the label for this research sourced its inspiration from a photograph of a vine. By the definition of a golden cut, we’ve both built a new look while reshaping the existing label. By playing with the shapes and a thorough analysis of its elements, we’ve created a different, modern label, holding a deeper story to it. The bare geometrical look of the mosaic was reshaped into an elegant, intertwining image of a ripening vine. The inspiration coming from a personal collection of photographs, from a vine-eye detail. The hierarchy of the data is meaningfully aligned with the marketing strategy of the Goriška Brda wine cellar, with my design inserts of streaming for something different and breaking down the monotony of low priced labels.
