Praznovanja in šege življenjskega cikla v Prlekiji: primerjava sredine 20. in začetka 21. stoletja

Magistrsko delo podaja vpogled v praznovanja in šege življenjskega cikla na območju Prlekije. Na tem območju primerja šege in praznovanja v sredini 20. stoletja s stanjem iz začetka 21. stoletja. Magistrsko delo temelji na empiričnih podatkih, zbranih s terenskim delom, osredotoča pa se na tri ključne mejnike življenjskega cikla: rojstvo, poroko in smrt. V prvem delu opisuje šege, verovanja in prakse ob rojstvu, poroki in smrti v sredini 20. stoletja, v drugem delu pa jih primerja s stanjem iz začetka 21. stoletja in kaže na podobnosti, razlike, spremembe in novosti. Preko folklornih obrazcev (pregovorov, rekov, fraz, primerjav) kaže v obravnavanih obdobjih odnos družbe in posameznikov do spola, spolnih, družbenih in socialnih vlog, higiene, spolnosti, religioznosti, vraževerja itd.

Izvleček

The master's thesis gives insight into the celebrations and life customs in the region of Prlekija. It compares customs and celebrations in the middle of the 20th century with the situation at the beginning of the 21st century in the aforementioned region. The master's thesis is based on empirical data collected by fieldwork, focusing on three key life’s milestones: birth, wedding and death. The first part describes customs, beliefs and practices at birth, marriage and death in the middle of the 20th century. The second part compares them with the situation at the beginning of the 21st century and shows similarities, differences, changes and novelties. Through folklore forms (proverbs, sayings, phrases, comparisons) it points out society’s and individual's attitude toward gender, social and gender roles, hygiene, sexuality, religiousness, superstition etc.
