Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je analizirati izbrana gradišča na Krasu, prepoznati njihove značilnosti, jih med seboj primerjati in določiti njihove tipe. Raziskave temeljijo na podatkih laserskega skeniranja (lidarskih posnetkih). Za analizo je bilo izbranih štirinajst gradišč, definiranih kot središča 'lokalnih občin'. Izbrana gradišča so primerjana z drugimi, bolje raziskanimi gradišči na kraških tleh, primerjava je narejena tudi z starejšimi prostorskimi analizami tega prostora. Na podlagi analize in primerjave lidarskih posnetkov je bil narejen poskus tipologije kraških gradišč. Struktura gradišč na Krasu se kaže kot zelo kompleksna in heterogena, kar je verjetno rezultat njihovega dolgega razvoja. Težavo pri analizi kraških gradišč predstavlja pomanjkanje sodobnih izkopavanj in raziskav, zaradi česar primanjkuje natančnejših podatkov o kronologiji in razvoju gradišč.

Title:Karst in the Bronze and Iron Ages. Old data facing new technologies.
Abstract:
The purpose of the BA thesis is the analysis of the chosen hillforts in Karst, identification of their features, their comparison and determination of their types. The research is based on Lidar-derived images. Fourteen hillforts, defined as centres of the 'local communities' were chosen for the analysis. The chosen Karst hillforts are compared to other, better researched hillforts in karst landscape. They are also compared to older spatial analyses of Karst. Based on the analysis and comparison of Lidar-derived images, a typology of Karst hillforts was proposed. Karst hillforts were shown to have very complex and heterogeneous structure, which is likely the result of their long development. A problem in the analysis of the Karst hillforts is posed by the lack of modern excavations and research, which results in shortage of more precise data on the chronology and development of the hillforts.
