My master's thesis talks about when, where and in what way and in which occasiones did the people of the town of Ribnica have fun in the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century. It describes which public places did they use for meetings and for fun. The thesis focuses mostly on bigger and public events, and not so much on smaller private events. In most of my thesis I describe various events on two bigger organized festivals in Ribnica. The first is the all known carnival events and the second is the description of the events which permanently marked the sixties of the twentieth century. My thesis also tells us about some other social events, that the locals and people from elsewhere, in this research period, loved to visit.
