Abstract
V magistrskem delu z naslovom Zemljepisna imena pri pouku geografije in slovenščine v osnovni šoli smo raziskovali, ali so zemljepisna imena, še posebej ledinska, lahko vir informacij o geografskih in jezikovnih značilnostih pokrajine ter ali kulturna dediščina ledinskih imen predstavlja še neuporabljen potencial v osnovnošolskem izobraževanju. Z izvedbo ankete, ki je bila preko socialnega omrežja posredovana med naključne osebe, smo ugotovili, da se izjemno velikemu deležu vprašanih (86 %) informativnost ledinskih imen zdi zelo velika. Prav tako pa se skoraj vsi vprašani (96 %) strinjajo, da bi ledinska imena morali ohranjati kot dragoceno kulturno dediščino. V okviru magistrskega dela je bilo izdelano didaktično učilo, ki s pomočjo zemljepisnih imen 25 območij celotne Slovenije omogoča različne možnosti povezovanja ledinskih imen z geografskimi in jezikovnimi značilnostmi pokrajine. Pri tem temeljni vir informacij predstavlja pomenska motivacija. Za uporabo didaktičnega učila so kot osnovno gradivo pripravljeni učni listi, v navodilih pa so zbrane tudi ideje za razširitev oz. nadgradnjo učila. Tako lahko učitelj glede na vzgojno-izobraževalne cilje, ki jih želi dosegati, didaktično učilo dopolni oz. izbere tista območja, ki so za izbrane učne vsebine smiselna in uporabna. Ledinska imena so tematika, ki jo je zaradi številnih možnosti medpredmetnega povezovanja in doseganja vzgojno-izobraževalnih ciljev smiselno vključiti v osnovnošolsko izobraževanje. Potencial je velik, z didaktičnim učilom pa ga bomo lahko vsaj nekaj izkoristili. Obenem pa bomo z raziskovanjem ledinskih imen pri učencih vzbujali zavest o njihovi dragocenosti in pomenu za človekovo bivanje v prostoru.

Title:Geographic proper names in primary school geography and Slovene classes
Abstract:
In this thesis, entitled Geographic proper names in primary school geography and Slovene classes, we researched whether geographic proper names, especially fallow names can be a source of information about geographic and linguistic properties of a region and whether the cultural heritage of fallow names represents an undiscovered potential for primary school education. By carrying out a survey, distributed to random people through social media, we discovered that the majority of people (86 %) think that Slovene fallow names carry important information. An even greater percentage (96 %) agrees that these names should be preserved as an invaluable cultural heritage. For the purpose of writing this thesis we made a didactic tool that includes geographic names from 25 different parts of Slovenia and enables various ways of connecting Slovene fallow names with the geographic and linguistic properties of a certain part of the country. The main source of information in this tool is the semantic motivation of fallow names. The main material for the usage of this didactic tool are handouts, while the instructions contain ideas and suggestions on the expansion and upgrade of this tool. The teacher can therefore adapt the tool according to the educational goals they wish to meet and choose the names that best fit the curriculum. Fallow names are a topic worth incorporating in primary schooling, because they offer numerous possibilities of interdisciplinary activities and meeting educational goals. Their potential is vast and with our didactical tool it can be at least partly realised. At the same time, we can enable students to see the preciousness of these names and their significance for our existence through these methods.
