Diploma thesis entitled as Influence of the environment and self-efficacy on human's personality development focuses on two of the three fundamental factors of development. Heredity, environment and self-efficacy are three fundamental factors influencing human's personal development. Self-efficacy and environment are emphasized in the thesis. Our goal was to ascertain how human's personality develops in the social environment throughout life, and at the same time to define how human with his own self-efficacy develops his own personality. In addition, we were seeking an answer whether it is possible that individual in adulthood converts negative patterns obtained in childhood and adolescence into positive ones with his own self-efficacy. We concluded that human is not a sum of environmental factors, an individual who lives aimlessly. Self-efficacy is extremely important in personality development since it triggers human’s life decisions that shape his personality.
