In the thesis, I present the collected data of several archaeologically researched Catholic and two Protestant burial sites in Slovenia, where the remains of headwear and headpieces have been found. Since this topic is almost unexplored in Slovenia I refer In the general description to the research that has been done in the area of present-day Germany. Among the collected finds from Slovenia, I search for similarities and differences - whether there is a difference in funeral customs with representatives of one or another religion and what are the possibilities and limitations that archaeology faces when researching headwear and headpieces.
