Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati nekatere subkulturne značilnosti nogometnih navijaških skupin. Naloga obravnava razvoj in kategorizacijo nogometnih navijačev, značilnosti navijaške skupine, vprašanje družbene pripadnosti in identitete navijača. V prvem delu naloge je obravnavan pojem subkultura kot osrednji predmet raziskovanja, čemur sledi njegova uporaba in prilagoditev na obravnavano temo. V drugem delu naloga obravnava razvoj navijačev, različne tipologije navijačev in strukturo navijaških skupin, zadnji del naloge pa raziskuje pripadnost in razloge za pripadnost navijaški skupini. Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela, ki se med seboj prepletata. Empirični del je bil zasnovan na metodi opazovanja z udeležbo, v sklopu katerega je bilo opravljenih tudi pet pogovorov s člani navijaške skupine Green Dragons. Naloga raziskuje splošne značilnosti navijaških skupin in jih podkrepi z primeri slovenske navijaške skupine Green Dragons.

Title:Football Fan Groups: Subcultural characteristics of Football Fan Groups (with examples of the Football Fan Group Green Dragons)
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to explore some of the subcultural characteristics of football fan groups. This thesis deals with the development and categorization of football fans, the characteristics of the fan group, the issue of social affiliation and fan identity. The first part deals with the concept of subculture as a basic concept of exploration. This is followed by its application and adaptations to the topic investigated. In the second part, the thesis deals with fan development, different fan typologies, fan group structure. The final part, however, explores the affiliation and reasons for belonging to the football fan group. The task consists of theoretical and empirical works, which are intertwined. The empirical part was designed with the help of i.e. participatory observations where five interviews were conducted with Green Dragons supporters. The task explores the general characteristics of football fan groups and supports them with examples of the Slovenian Green Dragons football fan group.
