Diplomsko delo obravnava tri romane pisateljice Shirley Jackson: Sončna ura, Strašenje hiše Hill in Od nekdaj smo živeli v gradu. Poskuša povezati središčni motiv hiše v vseh treh delih s tradicionalno in sodobno različico gotske fikcije.

Title:The House as Motif in Three Novels by Shirley Jackson
Abstract:
This thesis aims to analyse three novels by Shirley Jackson; The Sundial, The Haunting of Hill House, and We Have Always Lived in the Castle. It attempts to contextualize the central motif of the house in all three novels within the scope of traditional and contemporary gothic fiction.
