Abstract
Gibljivost je ena izmed gibalnih sposobnosti, ki pripomore k dodatnem uspehu košarkarja v igri in se jo da razvijati na različne načine. Namen naloge predstaviti različne metode razvoja in ohranjanja gibljivosti ter glede na specifične potrebe košarke predlagati najbolj ustrezne za uporabo v košarki v smislu razvoja gibljivosti kakor tudi pri pripravi na trening in tekmo. V uvodnem delu so predstavljene lastnosti košarke in dejavniki, ki vplivajo na gibljivost tako anatomski kot tudi zunanji. V jedru so opisane metode raztezanja skupaj z njihovimi prednostmi in slabostmi. Opredeljeno je tudi v katerem delu vadbene enote jih uporabljamo in katero metodo je smiselno uporabiti glede na njen namen. Prikazane so vaje za raztezanje ključnih mišičnih skupin v košarki s slikovnim gradivom in opisom. V drugem delu jedra so predstavljene nevarnosti pri določenih razteznih vajah v košarki ter smernice za varno izvedbo in nadzor programa za razvijanje gibljivosti. Opredeljen je tudi pomen gibljivosti v rehabilitacijskem procesu. Diplomsko delo predstavlja neke vrste priročnik, ki naj bi pomagal košarkarskim trenerjem nadgraditi njihovo znanje na področju telesne priprave in razvoja gibljivosti ter s tem povečaj uspešnost njihovega dela v tem pomembnem segmentu priprave košarkarjev.

Title:
Developing flexibility in basketball
Abstract:
Flexibility is one of many components responsible for the effectiveness of a basketball player and it can be developed trough various methods. The purpouse of this paper is to view the positive and negative effects of each stretching method for the specific needs of basketball players and to identify which should be used at what time. In the first part of this diploma we are presented by the anatomical factors of flexibility and the basic properties of basketball. Each method is described in the main part of this paper aswell as its positive and negative effects on athletes. We also learn when we should incorporate each of the methods whether it is for developing flexibility or just warming up and getting ready for a game. The stretching excercises for the main muscle groups in basketball are provided with pictures aswell as detailed descriptions. Near the end we are also presented with potentially dangerous executions of some popular stretching exercises in basketball and guidelines for preparing and executing a safe stretching program. This paper is meant as a guide or an extension for a basketball coaches who wish to expand their knoweldge on the topic of flexibility which is an important part of the physical preparation aspect in basketball. In the writing of this paper i used domestic and foreign literature.
