Within the framework of this diploma thesis, measurements of dust particle emissions from Oxy-fuel and plasma cutting were made. The measurements were carried out using a ZAMBELLI EGO PLUS TT personal sampler. The analysis of composition and the geometry of dust particles, that were collected on the filters of the personal sampler, were analyzed using a typical electron microscope ThermoFischer scientific Quattro S. Particle size and shape evaluation was performed in accordance with the standard ISO 13322.
The basic aim of the proposed diploma thesis was to analyze the emissions of inhalable dust fractions in the working environment of steel cutting processes with an emphasis on the analysis of dust composition, particle size and shape.
