Abstract
V slovenskih gozdovih posekamo veliko lesa, ki ni primerne kakovosti ali dimenzij za uvrstitev med sortimente z višjo ceno. Poslovna ideja, ki jo opisujemo, kot surovino uporablja okrogel les, pri čemer zavitost, grčavost in še mnoge druge estetske in funkcijske napake ne razvrednotijo surovine. Z lesom, ki ga izkoristimo na ta način, lahko ustvarimo več dodane vrednosti kakor z lesom, ki ga porabimo za drva. Kot primer dobre prakse na področju rabe manj kakovostnih gozdnih lesnih sortimentov navajamo proizvajalca WholeTrees, ki je leta 2015 prejel nagrado za najinovativnejšo rabo lesa v ZDA. Zanimalo nas je, ali lahko inovacijo prenesemo v slovensko okolje. V diplomski nalogi smo ocenjevali uresničljivost poslovne ideje trženja na slovenskem trgu, kot jo je v ZDA uresničilo podjetje WholeTrees. To smo dosegli s preverjanjem zakonsko pravnih možnosti in možnosti tehnološke uresničljivosti inovacije v Sloveniji ter oceno primernosti slovenskega poslovnega okolja za svojo poslovno idejo. Ugotovili smo, da je ideja zanimiva za podjetja, ki se že ukvarjajo z gradnjo objektov iz okroglega lesa. Ko smo opravili A'WOT-analizo, smo ugotovili, da je ideja zaenkrat še precej tvegana za realizacijo, in sicer z več vidikov, kot so načrtovanje objekta, statična trdnost objekta in vzdržljivost materiala.

Title:Assessment of the feasibility of the business idea of ​​marketing non-demanding and simple objects from parts of whole trees.
Abstract:
In Slovenian forests, a lot of timber is harvested, which is not of suitable quality or dimension for listing among the assortments with a higher price. The business idea, which we describe, uses round wood, with aesthetic and functional errors, that do not devalue the material. With the wood we use in this way, we can create more value than with a firewood. As an example of good practice in the use of low-quality forest timber is American company WholeTrees, which is the winner of the award for the most innovative wood use in the United States in 2015. We are interested in whether we can transfer our innovation to the Slovenian market. In the diploma thesis, we assessed the feasibility of a business marketing idea on the Slovenian market, as was realized in the USA by WholeTrees. This was achieved by examining the legal possibilities, the technological feasibility of innovation in Slovenia and assessing the suitability of the Slovenian business environment for our business idea. We found that the idea is interesting for companies that are already engaged in the construction of objects from round timber. When we completed the A'WOT analysis, we found that the idea is still quite risky for realization from several aspects, such as object design, static strength of a building and durability of the material.
