In the Master's thesis, I deal with the implementation of an analogue-digital wordless book.
In the theoretical part, I discuss topics that are an integral part of the book project and relate to its realization and content. In this part, I explore the concepts of conceptual illustration, visual language, reading of images and the overall book design, as these are the elements that require the necessary attention to enable them to convey a message from the illustrator to the reader. Furthermore, I focus on defining interactivity and reviewing the existing interactive books. Topics relevant to the realization of the book project are illustration, a wordless book and interactivity. Imagination is a subject that pertains to the content and message of a book, so I emphasize its essential features.
In the practical part, I explain the entire process of the book project, from the conceptual design to the final implementation. I describe the content of my authorial story, the preparation of the storyboard, development of the protagonists, expressive technique and visual analysis. Book design covers the overall execution of the project, from graphic design to print type and binding method. As far as the digital upgrade is concerned, I explain the use of the application and the process of animating illustrations.
