Abstract
V diplomskem delu so proučeni postopki, ki v praksi omogočijo pujsku lažji prehod iz sesnega obdobja na čas po odstavitvi. V poskusu smo proučili različne vplive na mase in dnevne priraste ob odstavitvi in v prvih dveh tednih po odstavitvi. V poskus je bilo vključenih 146 pujskov iz 12 gnezd. Gnezda smo razvrstili v kontrolno skupino (KS) z nespremenjenim načinom dela s pujski in poskusno skupino (PS) z dodajanjem krme pred odstavitvijo. V model smo vključili vpliv skupine, genotipa, rojstne mase pujska in števila odstavljenih pujskov. V KS smo s pujski ravnali na način, kot so na kmetiji delali do zdaj. Pujske v KS smo odstavili pri povprečni starosti 38,7 dni, v PS pa pri starosti 37,0 dni. Masa ob odstavitvi je bila v PS za 0,43 kg večja od mas v KS, v drugem tednu se je razlika povečala na 1,65 kg. Skupina je vplivala tudi na dnevne priraste, ki so bili ob odstavitvi 19 g/dan večji v PS, do konca poskusa pa že za 39 g/dan. Pujski genotipa 0054 so dosegali večje mase in dnevne priraste kot pujski ostalih genotipov v poskusu. Pujski so ob rojstvu tehtali povprečno 1,75 kg. S povečanjem rojstne mase za 100 g se odstavitvena masa poveča za 0,48 kg, masa dva tedna po odstavitvi pa za 0,71 kg. V PS se je masa pujska povečala za 0,43 kg z vsakim dodatnim odstavljenim pujskom, medtem ko se v KS zmanjša za 0,65 kg.

Title:
Measures to ensure smooth transition from suckling to weaned piglets
Abstract:
The aim of the experiment was to examine procedures and practices that allow piglet to transition more smoothly from the suckling to the post-weaning period. We examined different effects on daily gains and weights at weaning and till two weeks after weaning. The experiment was performed on 146 piglets from 12 litters. All piglets were divided into two groups based on feeding in the suckling phase. The control group (CG) was handled with previous techniques done on the farm. Creep feed was added to piglets in the experimental group (EG). Piglets in CG were weaned at an average age of 38.7 days and piglets in EG at 37.0 days. Weaning weight in EG was on average 0.43 kg higher than in CG. In the second week, the difference between weights increased to 1.65 kg. The group affected also on daily gains that were till weaning for 19 g/day higher in EX, and till the end of the experiment, they were higher for 39 g/day. Piglets from genotypes 0054 achieved higher weights and daily gains than other genotypes in the experiment. Birth weight was on average 1.75 kg. By increasing the birth weight by 100 g, the weight at weaning increased by 0.48 kg and weight after two weeks by 0.71 kg. Weights and daily gains also increased with litter size at weaning. In EG with each additional weaned piglet, weaning weight increased by 0.43 kg, while in CG it decreased by 0.65 kg.
