in the opening chapters, i described the savinja basin and the history of the floods in the savinja region and their impact on the population. the following are ways to deal with floods and the types of flood control measures and an overview of current flood safety in the area. the core of the diploma thesis is a detailed description and procedures of implementation of flood measures, definition of phases, presentation of technologies and necessary resources for implementation. the presented flood control projects were implemented in the savinja valley in ljubno ob savinji. two types of anti-flood action were taken. the first project is of a maintenance nature, showing how the events of implementation follow, from the very design and description of the damage, to the work that goes through and completion of the project. the second project presents passive flood measures, which regulated the river bed with changing culverts. used machinery, timetable and use of concrete are also presented.
