Magistrsko delo z naslovom »Preveč, premalo, nikdar ravno prav« in druge pripovedi o ženskem telesu je skupek osebnih zgodb, prepletenih s teorijo in prakso. Govori o (ne)sprejemanju ženskega telesa ter nenazadnje ženske same. Predstaviti skuša moj, osebni pogled na družbeno dojemanje določenih bioloških procesov, ki se odvijajo (tudi) v ženskem telesu. Večji del magistrskega dela je posvečen nadzorovanju, normiranju ženskega telesa ter preoblikovanju le tega v t. i. popolno žensko telo. Raziskala sem različne teme, podrobneje pa obravnavala predvsem dva tabuja – poraščenost ter menstrualno kri. Nikakor nisem mogla zaobiti niti modne ter kozmetične industrije, ki nad ženskami ustvarjata še dodaten pritisk. Moda je obravnavana v zadnjem poglavju, celotno magistrsko delo pa zaokroži projekt deflowered by Lea, v katerem skušam modo misliti na drugačen način – oblačila kot nosljivi umetniški kosi, ki živijo izven galerijskih sten.

Abstract

The master's thesis entitled »Too Much, Too Little, Never Exactly Right« and Other Tales About the Female Body is a collection of personal stories intertwined with theory and practice. It is talking about (not) accepting the female body, and last but not least the woman herself. It seeks to present my personal view of the social perception of certain biological processes that take place (also) in the female body. The greater part talks about controlling, normalizing the female body and transforming it into a “perfect” female body. I devoted myself to exploring a variety of topics, and I choose to discuss two themes closely, first one is body hair and second one is menstrual blood. By no means could I bypass the fashion and cosmetics industries, which put extra pressure on women. Fashion is discussed in the last chapter. The entire master's thesis is rounded off by a project deflowered by Lea, in which I try to think of fashion in a different way - clothes as wearable pieces of art that live outside the gallery walls.
