This bachelor’s degree thesis examined the idea of smart furniture production through the making of a business plan. The company will be producing smart study and conference tables. We established the key points of the business plan and tested our idea from the financial, marketing and organisational perspectives. We discovered that there is no direct competition in Slovenia regarding smart furniture, but there is strong competition on foreign markets and large companies such as IKEA have already grasped the related opportunities. We will sell and market products through established methods (fairs, and others classical marketing methods) in combination with use of modern technologies such as virtual reality and other digital media. The company will enter the local market and then expand to foreign markets. We concluded that the idea is interesting from both business and financial perspectives and has a relatively small risk.
