Abstract
Osnovni namen diplomske naloge je preučiti začetek in razvoj šolstva v Škofji Loki. V prvem delu naloge je predstavljen razvoj v srednjem veku in zgodnjem novem veku ter posledice, ki so jih prinesle šolske reforme v 18. in 19. stoletju. Nato sledi opis glavne mestne šole Škofja Loka od njenega začetka pa do pričetka prve svetovne vojne. Predstavljene so tudi manjše trivialne šole v okolici Škofje Loke. Na koncu pa so predstavljene še uršulinke in njihova dekliška ljudska šola v Škofji Loki.

Title:Development of educational system in Škofja Loka through archival material
Abstract:
The main aim of thesis is to examine the start and development of educational system in Škofja Loka. The first part of thesis presents development in medieval age and early modern period. It also presents consequences of school reforms in 18. and 19. century. The following part is describing city school of Škofja Loka, since its beginnings and until the start of the great war. It also describes other smaller schools in surrounding towns. For the end, thesis also presents Ursuline sisters and their girl school in Škofja Loka.
