We live in a period of so called “smart things” with which we want to relieve the life itself or work we perform on a daily basis. The graduation thesis describes automation of an underground garage, remote data monitoring, and garage control.
In the graduation thesis, we wanted to present automation, control, and remote control of the underground garage. In order to credibly present its operation, we had to design a model of the garage itself and electrical cabinet in which all the necessary elements for control and management are present. I used the Phoenix Contact products and added sensors and actuators required for simulation of the actual situation.
The thesis includes a short presentation of the garage (ventilation, safety requirements etc.) and IEC 61131-3 standard. I used the standard to design a program for automation and Profinet protocol and OPC UA. Further, I also described hardware that was essential for a final product meaning that every reader will more easily understand how we can remotely control various applications in a simple way.
