Abstract
Japonski dresnik (Fallopia japonica) je hitro rastoča tujerodna vrsta, ki je uvrščena na seznam 100 najnevarnejših invazivnih vrst sveta. Trendi širjenja in razraščanja so zaskrbljujoči, na posameznih območjih celo alarmantni. Trenutno še niso odkrili zares učinkovitega načina omejevanja in iztrebljanja te močno invazivne rastline, še posebej, ko je rastlina močno razširjena in uspeva v večjih sestojih. Namen zaključne seminarske naloge je bil proučevanje širjenja in spreminjanja gostote dresnika v obdobju dveh let. Cilj zaključne seminarske naloge je bil izbrati štiri proučevane sestoje, manjšega velikostnega razreda. Meritve so potekale med marcem in avgustom, v intervalu merjenja enkrat mesečno. Pri vsakem sestoju je bilo izvedenih več meritev gostote, ki smo jo kasneje ekstrapolirali na celoten sestoj in računali povprečne vrednosti prirasta na mesec in med letoma 2017 - 2018. Rezultati so bili presenetljivi, saj se je dresnik na vseh območjih zanemarljivo prostorsko širil, je pa iz meseca v mesec hitro povečeval gostoto. Ponekod je bil zabeležen celo upad števila rastlin znotraj celotnega sestoja.

Title:Mapping the range of Knotweed sites between 2017 - 2018 in selected areas
Abstract:
Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) is a fast-growing non-native species that is placed on the list of 100 most dangerous invasive species in the world. Expansion and overgrowth trends are worrying and in some areas even alarming. A really effective way of limiting and exterminating of this highly invasive plant has not yet been discovered, especially due to the fact that the plant is widespread and thrives in larger stands. The purpose of the final seminar paper was to study the spread and change in the density of the knotweed over a period of two years. The aim of the final seminar paper was to select four study stands of smaller size. Measurements were made between March and August, at a monthly measurement interval. Several density measurements were performed at each stand, which were later extrapolated to the entire stand and we calculated average growth values per month and between 2017 and 2018. The results were surprising as knotweeds were expanding negligibly in all areas but rapidly increasing in density from month to month. In some areas, even a decline in the number of plants within the entire stand was recorded.
