Abstract

Title:Pile-dwelling tourism on the Ljubljana marshes
Abstract:
In my bachelor’s thesis, I presented pile-dwelling tourism which refers to the Ljubljana marshes. The municipalities of Ig and Vrhnika will be the most concerned with this tourism among all the municipalities from the Ljubljana marshes, where the pile-dwelling were located. Ig has already developed a strategy for tourism development in relation to pile-dwellers (accommodations in the style of pile-dwellers, pile-dwelling barrow, interpretation center, village on carts, and workshops) and some activities are already underway (pile-dwelling day, pile-dwelling camp, lectures, and permanent exhibition). There are information boards on Mah and a regatta of boats that pile-dwellers used. There are also many permanent and occasional exhibitions on the subject, as well as three congresses. Interviews with archaeologists revealed possible new ways of presenting the culture of pile-dwellers, comparisons with foreign countries and some other interesting things.
