Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) has regained big importance on the market, due to it's versatile use of crops, rapid growth and thrives in all climatic zones around the world. Because the content of cannabinoids, hemp is mainly used in medicine and as a drug. Due to it's quality fibers and pulp content it is grown as an industial plant. In present thesis hemp varieties based on usage of crop yield (seeds, stems, flowers) and field experiments have been compared and analysed. 'Futura 75' proved to have the highest stems and seeds yields. Besides genetic characteristics of the variety, different production technologies and weather conditions also has major impact the yield and it's quality. The researchers goals are mainly focused in multi crop yield in stem and seed produvtion as well as in cannabinoids content. In Slovenia, we have the highest production of 'Fedora 17' variety. Like in the whole world interest in hemp cultvation is increasing also in Slovenia but much more knowledge and reasearch will be needed on varieties according to the crop yield usage.
