Abstract

Title:product Design for young, socially volnerable families
Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis discusses the social vulnerability of Slovenian families. Based on the issues that disadvantaged families and families in general usually encounter and are identified in the analytical part of the thesis, the planning part of the study focuses on developing a fair and simple service for exchanging children’s items. The planned solution is based on equal opportunities for families of all social classes and aims to alter the currently predominant form of exchange (i.e., selling or exchanging items between families that know each other). The proposed solution is a mobile app that allows users to perform simple searches for the items they need. The app provides an environment in which users can arrange exchanges and, based on internal credits used as a medium of exchange, allows items to be exchanged between all the families included.
