Vpliv gospodarskih kriz na demokracijo v ZDA

V diplomski nalogi se bom posvetila analizi odnosa med demokracijo in politiko v času gospodarskih kriz. Pozornost naloge ne bo namenjena zgolj krizi gospodarstva in politike v letu 2008, pač pa bo analiza diplomskega dela zajemala širši okvir, ki vključuje tudi krizo v 30. letih prejšnjega stoletja. Gospodarska kriza se pogosto razume le kot pomanjkanje denarnih sredstev v gospodarstvu in jo povezujemo predvsem s slabimi odločitvami političnih predstavnikov in slabimi življenjskimi pogoji. V nalogi se bom zato osredotočila na vsa ostala področja, na katera vpliva gospodarska kriza, in sicer tako na družbena kot tudi politična. Za razumevanje gospodarskih kriz in njihovega vpliva na politične in družbene spremembe je pomembno odkrivanje samih vzrokov, zakaj do gospodarskih kriz sploh pride in kako bi lahko povezali vzroke in posledice za dve različni krizi v različnih obdobjih.

• Title: The effect of financial crises on the USA democracy

Abstract

In my thesis I will analyse the relationship between democracy and politics during the financial crisis in the USA. My main focus will not be just on the global financial crises in 2008, but will my analyses also include a bigger picture and analyse the Great depression of the 1930’ crises. Financial crises are most time understood as just shortcomings of money in the economy and poor living conditions for people. In this thesis I will put focus on all areas that are affected by the financial crises and those are as much economic as are social and political. For understanding financial crises it is important to start at the beginning as to analyse the reasons that cause this crises and at the end I will try to connect the causes and consequences for two different financial crises in two different time frames.
