Značilnosti vodenja v slovenskem prostoru: uslužnostno vodenje

Abstract
V svetu je koncept uslužnostnega vodenja že dobro poznan, medtem ko je v Sloveniji to področje še relativno novo in manj raziskano. Namen magistrskega dela je bila predstavitev in raziskovanje uslužnostnega vodenja v slovenskem prostoru. Zanimalo me je, ali zaposleni pri svojih vodjih zaznavajo vedenja, ki so značilna za uslužnostno vodenje, ali si zaposleni sploh želijo, da bi se njihove vodje vedli v skladu z vedenji, značilnimi za uslužnostno vodenje in ali se želja razlikuje glede na spol in starostno skupino udeležencev. Uporabila sem Vprašalnik o stilih vodenja (VSV-1), avtorjev E. Boštjančič, K. Babnik in Bajca, ki še ni bil uporabljen v nobeni predhodni raziskavi, zato sem v okviru magistrskega dela izvedla tudi pilotno študijo na vzorcu 112 udeležencev za preverjanje in prilagoditev metričnih značilnosti vprašalnika. Pri odgovarjanju na raziskovalna vprašanja sem na vzorcu 250 udeležencev uporabila prilagojeno obliko Vprašalnika o stilih vodenja (VSV-2). Ugotovila sem, da udeleženci pri svojih vodjih (v povprečju) najpogosteje zaznavajo vedenja, ki so značilna za druge stile vodenja, in sicer usmerjenost v dosežke in cilje. Vendar pa (v povprečju) vsaj občasno zaznavajo tudi vsa vedenja, ki so značilna za uslužnostno vodenje. Udeleženci so ocenili, da bi se vodje pogosteje morali vesti v skladu z vedenji, ki so značilna za uslužnostno vodenje. Najvišje ocene pogostosti so podali pri vedenju, ki je odgovorno, pravično, moralno, etično in spodbuja sodelovanje. Ženske si v večji meri želijo uslužnostnega vodenja ter moralnega, etičnega in kolegialnega vedenja, med starostnimi skupinami pa ni razlik. Ugotovitve kažejo na to, da uspeh in dosežki zaposlenim niso vse, želijo si tudi, da bi se vodje vedli v skladu z značilnostmi uslužnostnega vodenja. Kljub temu da je koncept v Sloveniji manj poznan, so nekatere značilnosti uslužnostnega vodenja skladne s slovensko kulturo ter željami zaposlenih in jih je zato (tudi) v bodoče smiselno upoštevati oz. vpeljevati.

Title:Leadership characteristics in Slovenia: servant leadership
Abstract:
The concept of servant leadership is already well-known in the world. In Slovenia, however, it is still relatively new and less researched. The purpose of the master’s thesis was to present and research the servant leadership in Slovenia. This paper explored whether employees perceive behaviours, typical for servant leadership in behaviours of their supervisors; whether employees want their supervisors to behave in accordance with behaviours that are typical for servant leadership; and whether the wish varies in accordance with gender and age group of participants. In the research, the Leadership Styles Questionnaire (VSV-1) by E. Boštjančič, K. Babnik and Bajec was used. The questionnaire had hitherto not been used in any preliminary research, so the pilot study was conducted on the sample of 112 participants to explore and adjust the metric characteristics of the questionnaire. The modified version of the Leadership Styles Questionnaire (VSV-2) was then used on the sample of 250 participants to explore research questions. Participants (on average) most often perceive behaviours, typical for other leadership styles, such as achievement and goal orientation, however, they also (on average) at least occasionally perceive all behaviours that are typical for servant leadership. Participants assessed that supervisors should more often behave in accordance with behaviours, typical for servant leadership. Supervisors should more often behave in a responsible manner, be fair, moral, ethical and should promote cooperation. To a greater extent, women wish their supervisors behaved in accordance with servant leadership characteristics and in a moral, ethical and collegiate way. There are no differences between age generations. Findings show that employees do not only care for the success and achievements but wish that their supervisors behaved in accordance with servant leadership characteristics as well. Despite the fact that the concept is less known in Slovenia, some characteristics of servant leadership are in line with Slovenian culture and employee’s wishes. Therefore, it is worthwhile to consider them.
