Abstract

Title:Civil-Military Cooperation: case of Park of military history Pivka
Abstract:
The field of civil-military relations and civil-military cooperation is undoubtedly of a significant social importance. Military is taking advantage of it for better promotion of the institution and its work, and civil sphere, besides the civilian control over the military, benefits in knowledge and services. An average Slovene would see such cooperation when the Slovenian Armed Forces provides help in the cases of natural disasters, but such cooperation goes on also in less stressful situations. Museum complex “The Park of military history” in Pivka is one example of such cooperation. Complex is developing during years and more and more exhibits are coming to Pivka. And with that, there are increasingly more and more tourists and visitors that take a walk among exhibits and that listen to their stories. All this is possible by quality cooperation between municipality of Pivka and the Slovenian Armed Forces. This is probably one of the most successful case of civil-military cooperation.
