Abstract
V diplomskem delu je obravnavana izdelava modela Ljubljanskega zmaja z določenimi specifikami, ki bi ustrezale uporabi v aplikacijah obogatene oz. mešane resničnosti, z namenom prikazovanja znamenitosti na drugačen, bolj zanimiv način. Tovrstne aplikacije so tudi opisane in dopolnjene z opisi splošnih specifik 3D modelov. Opredeljene so glavne teoretične osnove, ki služijo pri sami izdelavi modela. Izbrano okolje je bil program Blender, ki je bil uporabljen za pripravo 3D modela in njegovo animacijo. V diplomskem delu je program Blender opisan in prikazane so njegove funkcionalnosti skozi teorijo modeliranja in animacije. Ker bo model uporabljen v okolju Unity za izdelavo mobilne aplikacije, so predstavljeni tudi načini uvoza modela v Unity in pa osnovni principi animacije. Predstavljeni so tudi različni pristopi za izdelavo 3D modelov, od ročne izdelave pa vse do avtomatskega generiranja s pomočjo fotometrije. Ker je bil v diplomskem delu model narejen s pomočjo fotometrije, je bilo potrebno izvesti potrebne prilagoditve ter animacijo. Na koncu so predstavljeni še rezultati praktičnega dela, osnovne razlage in ugotovitve, ki so služile kot izhodišče za zaključke in izhodišča za nadaljnje delo.

Title:Animation of a realistic object model for augmented reality mobile application
Abstract:
The goal of this diploma thesis was to create a 3D model of the Ljubljana dragon for inclusion in augmented or mixed reality applications, with the intention of making sightseeing different and more interesting. Overview of augmented reality and mixed reality with emphasis on mobile applications is followed by specifics of models and theoretical approach of modelling and animation. Since Blender was used for modelling and animation, it’s tools, functionalities and basic approach are also described. As the model is intended for inclusion in Unity applications, the options for importing models to Unity are presented as well, including the basics of animation guidelines. Different types of model creation are reviewed from handmade modelling to photometry approach and since the thesis model was created with photometry approach, some adaptations were necessary as well as its animation. Finally, the results of practical work are presented with basic explanation and findings, which lead to conclusions and options for future work.
