Abstract
V svojem diplomskem delu se ukvarjam z vprašanjem začetka znotraj umetniškega delovanja. Pri tem me zanimata predvsem nastavka: s čim in kako začeti v umetnosti.

Title:Crises and new beginings
Abstract:
In my bachelors thesis I deal with the issue of beginning within (the) artistic practice. I am particularly interested in the matter of what to express and how to do it in order to begin in art. The matter of the beginning is seen as problematic within philosophy. Avant-garde movements of the 20th century were engaged in establishing a “new beginning”. In order to find my starting point, I first address the issue of contemporariness, then try to explain the beginning from “nothing” with the advent of the monochrome. In the end I take a closer look at the intensity that art can produce to create a new meaning in order to begin. Using theoretical principles I try to draw parallels with my own (artistic) practice. To address the issue of beginning in the arts I refer primarily to the gestures of repetition and process.
