Abstract
V tej zaključni nalogi je predstavljena izdelava zaporedno-vzporednega vmesnika za povezavo digitalne kamere in razvojne plošče FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). Vmesnik bo uporabljen na laboratorijskih vajah za namene obdelave slik s FPGA. Izbrana digitalna kamera uporablja protokol MIPI CSI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface Camera Serial Interface). Za razvojno ploščo FPGA smo uporabili ZedBoard [1] podjetja Digilent. Opisne so možne rešitve za povezavo kamere CSI na FPGA. Glede na izbrano rešitev z video pretvornikom STMIPID02 [2] smo naredili tiskano vezje vmesnika. Za vmesnik smo razvili program in pripravili programsko okolje, ki je primerno za nadaljnji razvoj aplikacije in za uporabo na laboratorijskih vajah. Vezje smo testirali z uporabo osciloskopa. Za FPGA smo razvili logične komponente za zajem video signala iz vmesnika ter komponento za prikaz na zaslon VGA (Video Graphics Array). Delovanje vmesnika smo testirali v sistemu s priključeno kamero in razvojno ploščo. Z uporabo razvitega programa in logičnih komponent za FPGA smo na zaslon prikazali zajeto sliko iz kamere.

Title:Serial-parallel interface between video camera and FPGA development board
Abstract:
In this final thesis we presented serial to parallel interface which connects a digital camera and an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). The purpose of the interface is to be used by students for video processing laboratory exercises. A camera with MIPI CSI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface Camera Serial Interface) was chosen. The system was developed for ZedBoard [1] development board from Digilent. An overview of possible solutions for connecting CSI camera and FPGA was made. The designed PCB for the interface uses video converter STMIPID02 [2]. A software for configuring the interface was developed which can easily be modified and used by students. The interface output signals were verified with an oscilloscope. We also developed logical components for the FPGA for the capture of a video signal from the interface and components for displaying the video signal on a VGA (Video Graphics Array) monitor. The operation was demonstrated with the interface connected to a camera and the development board by streaming video from the camera to a VGA monitor with the use of the developed program and logical components.
