Abstract
Upravljanje dokumentarnega gradiva je eden najpomembnejših vidikov poslovanja organizacije. Da se učinkovitost poslovanja zagotovi, postaja pomembno zagotavljanje varnosti informacij v skupni rabi. Za sistematično zajemanje in nadzor podatkov v skladu z zakonodajo in zahtevami glede skladnosti vsaka organizacija potrebuje učinkovit sistem upravljanja dokumentov. V okviru diplomskega dela je bila v izbrani organizaciji izvedena raziskava, katere namen je bil proučiti delovne postopke upravljanja dokumentarnega gradiva in proučiti mnenja zaposlenih glede uvedbe elektronskega sistema za upravljanje dokumentarnega gradiva. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da zaposleni relativno dobro poznajo delovne postopke upravljanja dokumentarnega gradiva. Organizacija sicer posluje v skladu z zakonodajo, zaposleni pa precej slabo poznajo predpise s področja upravljanja dokumentarnega gradiva in njegove hrambe. Za optimalno izvajanje elektronskega upravljanja dokumentarnega gradiva bi moralo vodstvo organizacije svoje zaposlene bolj usposabljati. Potrebno bi bilo tudi večje in bolj učinkovito sodelovanje med vodstvom, zaposlenimi in glavno pisarno. Učinkovitemu sodelovanju, upoštevanju predpisov in dobremu poznavanju vseh delovnih postopkov namreč sledijo boljši poslovni procesi, kar pomeni večjo konkurenčnost organizacije.

Title:THE ANALYSIS OF DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT IN THE SELECTED ORGANISATION
Abstract:
Document management is one of the most important aspects of conducting business in an organization. To assure an efficient business performance, it is important to ensure information security of shared documents. For a systematic logging and data management in accordance with the legislation and demands regarding compliance, every organization requires an effective system for document management. As part of the paper, we performed a study in a selected organization, the purpose of which was to analyse the working processes of document management and the employees’ opinion about the implementation of an electronic system for document management. The results showed that the employees have a relatively good knowledge of the working processes for document management. The organization works in accordance with the legislation; however, the employees have poor knowledge of the regulations in the field of document management and storage. To achieve the optimal performance of the electronic document management, the management of the organization ought to provide better training to their employees. A greater and a more efficient cooperation between the management, employees and the main administrative office is necessary. Effective cooperation, compliance with the regulations and good knowledge of the working processes can result in better business processes and consequently bring about greater competitiveness.
