This diploma thesis presents the process of designing a collection of organic patterns for use on upholstery jacquard fabric. The theoretical part describes the historical development of different design skills with the help of which I developed my diploma thesis. I also presented some interesting modern design projects. The theoretical part is the basis for the experimental in which I described the process of creating the patterns, fabrics and their applications on furniture pieces through text and pictures. Main technique used in the process of creating the fabrics was jacquard weaving. I also used the technique of laser cutting to make wooden seating plates of the upholstered chair on which I presented the jacquard fabrics. Result of the thesis was a collection of organic patterns that were then woven into jacquard fabrics. The fabrics were presented on the pillow of a three-legged chair and, with the help of virtual visualisations, on other furniture pieces as well.
