In my master's thesis, I investigated how team sports affect individuals in the field of personal development and socialization. The research involved former and active athletes of individual and team sports, as well as those who were never engaged in sports or physical activities. By analysing the survey questionnaire, I found that team sports positively influence social competencies of individuals; they are less lonely, more successful in networking and are prone to socializing with their peers more often. In addition, team sports positively influence quality leisure time and self-image as individuals engaged in team sports are less precarious and more responsible.
