More and more people are becoming aware of the importance of a healthy and varied diet in their daily lives. They often want to have an overview of what they have eaten as it makes it easier to follow their eating habits. The vast majority of people always have a mobile phone with them, which allows them to take pictures of a dish, so we decided to create a mobile application which would allow users to easily capture the food that they ate. In this diploma thesis, we first presented similar applications and their main functionalities. We then described the technologies and programming languages used in the diploma thesis. We introduced the application wireframe and highlighted the importance of connecting mobile applications to external systems. We then moved on to the architecture where we described two back end systems that we use, the VitaBits API and the FoodDiary API. We continued with an introduction to the appearance and functionality of the developed application. We described the main application pages and their importance. We concluded with an overview of the work that we have done and outlined the utility of the application.
