Izkušnje staršev otrok z motnjami avtističnega spektra

Diplomsko delo je osredotočeno na izkušnje staršev otrok z motnjami avtističnega spektra. Delo poskuša pokazati, kako starši doživljajo proces po sumu glede motnje avtističnega spektra. Moj namen je raziskati mnenja, izkušnje, zgodbe staršev in predloge, ki bi staršem olajšali situacije, s katerimi se srečujejo. V delo je vključena raziskava, ki je izvedena z izvajanjem intervjujev s starši otrok z motnjami avtističnega spektra. Analiza intervjujev je pokazala, da so starši v procesih pogosto spregledani in niso deležni nobene oblike pomoči. Še več. Pogosto so jim sicer predpisane pravice celo zanikane.

Abstract

This thesis is focused on the experience of parents of children with an autism spectrum disorder. It tries to show how parents go through the process after the suspicion of autism spectrum disorder. The purpose of the thesis is to research opinions, experiences, and stories of parents and to find suggestions that would help parents in situations they experience. I also conducted research which is included in the thesis. I carried out interviews with parents. The analysis of the results showed that parents are overlooked in the process on several occasions and do not get any help. Even worse, it happens that their rights are neglected on several occasions.
