Analiza neverbalne komunikacije v javnem nastopu govorcev »TEDx talkov«

V svoji diplomski nalogi obravnavam temo komunikacije, znotraj katere sem se osredotočila predvsem na medosebno komuniciranje. Bolj podrobno me zanimajo neverbalna komunikacija in njeni elementi, ki se pojavljajo v javnih nastopih, saj ti vplivajo na kakovost določenega nastopa oziroma govora. Nebesedno komuniciranje je širok pojem, zato sem se osredotočila na glasovne elemente in govorico telesa, ter znotraj nje le nekaj posameznih elementov. Analizirala sem posnetke govorov TEDx, ki sem jih dobila na omrežju YouTube. Izbrala sem 5 posnetkov s tematiko neverbalne komunikacije in z največjim številom ogledov. S pomočjo teorije sem izluščila elemente nebesedne komunikacije, ki sem jih uporabila pri analizi, in te so: očesni stik, kretnje z rokami, premikanje, glas, prvi vtis in videz ter obrazna mimika. Pri tem me je zanimalo, kako govorci uporabljajo izbrane elemente neverbalne komunikacije. Preverjam in tudi potrdim tezo, da imajo govori TEDx z največ ogledi več elementov neverbalne komunikacije skupnih kot pa različnih.

• Title: Analysis of nonverbal communication in the public performance of »TEDx talks« speakers

Abstract

In my diploma, I discuss the topic of communication, within which I focused primarily on interpersonal communication. I am more interested in nonverbal communication and its elements that appear in public performances. They influence the quality of particular performance. Nonverbal communication is a broad field, so I focused on the voice elements and the body language and then only on a few elements within it. My focus is on TEDx speeches I obtained on YouTube channel. I chose 5 videos about nonverbal communication with the highest number of views. Using the theory, I extracted the elements of nonverbal communication that I used in the analysis: eye contact, arm gestures, movement, voice, first impression, public appearance and facial expression. I was interested in how speakers use the selected elements of nonverbal communication. I examine and also confirm the hypothesis that TEDx talks with the most views have more elements of nonverbal communication in common rather than different.
