Abstract

Title:Optimization of the synthesis of organoruthenium (II) complex with pyrithion and pta
Abstract:
The purpose of my thesis was optimization of the synthesis of organoruthenium(II) complex with pyrithione and pta, which was firstly preparedby Tjaša Rijavec in her bachelor’s thesis. By changing various reaction conditions I wanted to obtain better yield of the pta complex as well as to achieve required purity. This was attained by using different solvents, salts, changing reaction time of the synthesis; equivalents of reagents and carrying synthesis under different temperature condition. Synthesised complexes were characterized and checked for the purity by nuclear magnetic resonance and elemental analysis.
