The final thesis describes the procedure for the design of a sterile pressure vessel for the pharmaceutical industry in accordance with EN 13445. The pressure vessel will be used in the washing process of technological equipment. The disinfection of the vessel with steam requires the operating temperature of + 150 °C and the maximum allowable pressure in the vessel of + 4 bars. First, the theoretical basics of pressure equipment needed for further understanding are presented. Then the requirements that the selected material must meet are described in detail. Possible shapes of vessels and their purpose are explained. The calculation of the components of the pressure vessel according to design requirements is carried out in great detail. The minimum required test pressure, with which the vessel is tested to conform to standard is calculated. The relative values of calculated and used thicknesses are graphically presented. The calculation proves that the vessel is suitable for safe use.
